Our Services

Gravel driveway drainage & grading.

Most ruts and potholes are a water problem. If water can't get off your driveway, it will keep tearing it apart — no matter how much gravel you add.

We fix drainage at the source, not cover it up. Then your driveway can stay smooth.

Before and after of a gravel driveway fixed by We Fix Gravel Driveways

Signs of a water problem

  • Puddles that sit after it rains
  • Gravel washed down the hill
  • Little streams cutting down the middle
  • Soft, muddy spots
  • Potholes that keep coming back

How we fix it

Standing water soaks in and softens the ground. Running water carries gravel away. Both need a way off the driveway.

We grade the driveway and re-establish a proper crown so rain runs off the sides. Then we compact it so the surface holds its shape. Grading shapes the driveway; compaction locks it in place.

Common questions

What is a driveway crown?
A gentle high point down the middle, so rain runs off to the sides instead of down the center.
What's the difference between grading and compaction?
Grading shapes the driveway so water runs off. Compaction presses the gravel tight so it stays put.
Why do steep driveways wash out?
Water moves faster downhill and carries more stone with it. Steep driveways fail first.
How long does it take?
Most driveways are finished within a day.
